TheraViewLX: The low dose, high resolution Electronic Portal Imaging System
TheraView is the cost-effective, clinically proven image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) system. With over 600 TheraViews installed worldwide,
more and more clinicians are discovering the benefits of a real-time, isocentrically mounted imaging solution. By bringing radiotherapy images
live and online, TheraView provides the radiation therapist with a more precise and effective alternative to time-consuming port film. More
importantly, the improved image quality can greatly enhance treatment, block shaping, and patient positioning accuracy.
Designed to
be versatile, the TheraView Portal Imaging System can be mounted onto virtually any linear accelerators (Varian, Siemens, Elekta).
The retractable detector allows the therapist to freely move around the treatment table for fast and efficient patient set up.
With TheraView's high resolution imaging chain, images are acquired and displayed in three possible modes:
Single Exposure: A set up image is acquired and displayed following a radiation exposure of 3-5 montior units or can be used during the entire treatment as a verification image.
Double Exposure: An open field and a treatment image are acquired in sequence to form and display a composite, superimposed image. The open and treatment images are also stored separate for review and enhancement possibilities.
Treatment: A sequence of images are recorded and displayed at a rate up to one image per second during treatment. Post-treatment, images can be relayed as a movie loop to show patient movement.
Advanced features offer the highest level of treatment verification, control and monitoring.
Designed for the precise needs of radiotherapy, TheraView provides therapists with a full spectrum of imaging and verification features:
- IGRT through TargetCheck software
- On-line reference image comparison
- IMRT online field/patient position verification & setup
